I’m curious about the reason why RAM disk option in the memory control panel is not available for some classic Macs and available for others. Like, on PowerBook 180 it is present, but there’s no that option for Macintosh IIci.

I have a recent recapped LC II, which runs great except that it does not save clock, memory and boot settings after the cold restart. I installed a new battery and still have these problems. What should I check first on the board?

I've figured out the reason. The ribbon cable connection the display panel and motherboard seemed to be broken a bit. Hopefully, I'll try to restore it.

There's no difference between a G5 edition and a stock versions of Jaguar except 64-bit parts of XNU and Kernel kit. It actually runs as much good as on my PowerBook G3, except the overall speed. Comparing to Panther, well personally I guess both versions run perfectly smooth on my 2.0 DP G5...

Well, I used my PowerMac G5 and Today I've downloaded the toast image from the same MacintoshGarden link and burned it straight on my G5 using Toast Titanium 10. Well, this time the DVD is bootable. I've managed to successfully install OS X 10.2.7 and upgraded it to 10.2.8 G5 edition!
