Very cool - but you can get a rotary encoder in the same place as the pot, and control the output brightness a little more nicely that way. I do think you might get some issues with those long VGA lines, perhaps less so by shielding with copper tape over the traces but altering the color values...
I like the BlueSCSI because there is a companion board called "EasyOver" that lets it plug into the 25-pin connector on the back of the Mac. On it I have all the software I don't want on every machine but can easily connect and copy it over when needed. Inside the machine I like the SCSI2SD...
I have not bought from that exact store and that's the only way you would be able to say anything about them, I see no specs only that they are out of stock - you are probably better off going to a real electronics distributor like Digikey or Mouser. No markup and you will know exactly what you...
Be sure to open them up to check if you can (preferably before paying top dollar) - the foam surrounds of the speaker suspension are prone to perishing and flaking away. They will still work without but not as well. You might be able to find a replacement kit but more likely you will be able to...
The speakers have a big impact on sound, whether the source is an old AM radio or something far more expensive. M6082 are really good speakers for the size, they are solid and really stood out when there were so many rattly thin plastic options for desktops. Mine aren't in use but they are put...
I'm curious what he thought of that Gelid Silent 6, I bought those three years ago and found they were complete garbage. Body closer to 16mm thick not the advertised 15mm, blades noticeably off-centre, not particularly quiet. Noctua was far better.
The thing I have done is not aiming at a drop-in replacement but might help if you want 3D files to look at, part numbers for the switch and IEC inlet - the datasheets are there and they are still available from Mouser/Digikey etc.

I think there was probably some other circuitry to attach to that board to provide video output to some other device. The logic chip there is probably being used as a buffer to drive those lines without affecting internal video. Compact mac video is hsync, vsync and 1-bit pixel data - no monitor...
If you have the analog pins are all wired up (four pins in a square above and below the horizontal terminal) you should be fine to convert to VGA. But are they connected on the card? It is very likely they are, but even a card that has no contacts behind the holes will have physical holes for...
I also always lever up with a screwdriver inserted under the chip. The official chip remover looked like a tiny rake, intended for inserting under the PGA and levering upwards, so if I can't get one of those the screwdriver, carefully applied, is probably the next best thing.
Beware the cheap...
Hi - getting a Platinum is very near the top of my list. Some kind of trade could definitely be done, did you want an Atari 400? I have a Mac-Con pass-through PDS ethernet card for SE30. Sony VAIOs, PCG21212W (small, cute, white) and PCG-8M1P (Pentium 4, huge). Ans money of course!
