Last year I think I got the best deal of a lifetime on FB marketplace, found a PowerBook 520 for $15 in near perfect condition. It came with the power supply, a working hard drive, and no cracked, or even scratched plastics for that matter. I don't think I'll ever get this good of a deal again...
Didn't work for me. My iBook doesn't read burned CD's, so I found original 8.6 restore disks on eBay, and it still had the same issue of attempting to start up and shutting down as soon as it reached the desktop. I checked the serial number and my iBook is an early model, made in September 1999...
Hello, I recently disassembled my iBook G3 clamshell to replace the Wi-Fi antennas and in doing so, I removed the handle which somehow threw it out of alignment. Now, instead of springing back to the closed position like it should, it springs out every time you push it to the closed position...
Ok great it worked, however I'm not really sure how to actually set up an afp server from my new mac to the old one, I did read the instructions but I'm still confused.
Sorry to bump an old thread but I'm trying to install Netatalk 3 on macOS and I keep getting stuck on the compile step, specifically with this terminal command:
./configure --with-ssl-dir=/path/to/openssl/installation --with-bdb=/path/to/bdb/installation
As soon as I run it I keep getting this...
