    Long Term Reliability of Quantum Drives

    Had two Quantum LPS 240 drives fail in a row in a LaCie Tsunami enclosure lately. Horrible (bearing?) rattle sounds. I wonder if I am not shutting them down correctly, as in needing to park heads or some such, or it is just age catching up with them. LaCie's enclosure running them on the side...

    Damaged ROM SIMM Socket on SE/30

    I have two SE/30 motherboards with damaged "Dual 30 Pin SIMM Socket Vertical" RAM (not ROM) slots, and I cannot seem to find a source. Anyone who can volunteer a pointer? I am so much better at soldering than I am at sourcing parts ;-)
