Simulators

Would like to hear of any 3D simulators people like to play on their Macs.

I was playing SubBattle Simulator on an SE back in the early 90's way before the PC was a thing.

This got me into all kinds of simulators.

So just wondering what simulators people used to like and hoping there might be 1 or 2 I never heard of.

Heres the list of the simulators I used to have and play back in the day.

SubBattle Simulator ( played this for years !! )
Sands of Fire ( Tank simulator - played this so much )
P51 Mustang
Chuck Yagers flight combat simulator
Chuck Yagers AFT
PT109 ( patrol boat sim)
Hellcats over the pacific ( Played this on a qudra many years later , only to recently discover it plays on an se/30 / classic II )
SimCity ( not 3D)
SimAnt ( not 3D)
Spectra ( cool tank battle game )

Might be some more but there the main ones I can think of

Any other sims out there people !!

SubBattle was 2D, wasn't it?

SC2K, if you consider that 3D, was great.

F/A-18 Hornet and A-10 Attack! (though I think Hellcats is my all-time favorite).

SubBattle was 3D ish ( sprites being scaled up and down ) but the graphics were very very basic. That Macintalk voice , the digitized sounds - truly loved this game , even thought it could crash at any time -

Does f/a18 run on a 68k Mac - I should of said that above , was looking for title that run on the 68K - thats why i mentioned hellcats - and like you i think hellcats was the best flight sim i ever played , even today , as i spent hours at it ........ brilliant flight sim

Falcon 4 and FA/18 series were the best imho. But I’m biased since I’m a flight-simmer to this day.

Falcon 4 was way ahead of its time.

tried Falcon and got it running on my classic 2 - great game although i have to keep going to the manual all the time to see the key commands

didnt know vette would run on B/W machines - i played that on my qudra back in the day as well - will have a go at this one as well

come on folks - any other 3D simulators that run on the black and white 68K macs out there

oh yay ...... more titles - thanks people - iver never heard of road racer or splaters - great stuff

I notice there are very little utube vids of Macintosh games , just a few top 10's etc

On SubBattle alone I could make a 30 min vid explaining how to play it and how the game works.

Looking at Falcon i bet there are people on here that could make longer vids explaining all there is about that game.

Any time I filmd the screen of a mac after a repair for someone there is always that flicker

I think i saw someone getting rid of the flicker using a different shutter speed or something - anyone know how to film a real screen without that flicker

been wanting to make a few vids on the games I played and the memories , for a long time

dont want to use an emulator - has to be the real machine with all the real sounds , problems and crashes that were part and parcel of the time

was anyone ever going for their all time high score on crystal quest when the dam mouse got dirty !!!

heres an even better one - I started gigging back in the late 90's using my faithful Mac SE as a sequencer on stage - it was driving my roland d50 and r70 .......... used to take 30 minutes to set up all my equiptment - i turned up to a gig once , set it all up , was about to start the gig , went to my SE with the mouse on top of the Mac to load up mastertrackz and load all the songs for the first half of the gig....... but the mouse wasnt working....... turned over the mouse and the bloody mouse ball was gone !!! .......if fell out with the retaining plate either in the gig bag of the back of the car ........ standing there with the whole pub looking at me so I used my fingers to manually rotate x and y until i loaded the first set. By the end of the gig I was getting good at it !!!

heres the very machine and mouse , late 90s

Some are PC boxes, but with the original Mac CD bought on their own and added to the box. Sadly I don't have the Korea Mac disk.
