noticed this and even read the article on 404media itself too myself
and mm well to our own here ofc but being I'm not the kind to have a big room full of collections etc I'll had rather long traded away any adc card/monitor (even if that mean a just-won-a-new-one-now mac had to sit dead in the back of the house workshop for awhile till I could barter its "useless" card for a vga equival with someone instead) in favour of just vga around the house excluding two particular small computers that are new enough to have native displayport on theirselves
(and yeah I guess its obvious that i'm not too nitpicky on mixing up monitor types&ages to the point of a beige pc monitor sitting on top of a powermacintosh on one table and a g3-era studio monitor sitting on top of a woodie turion pc on another table)
