Recently I had been in the Mac collecting mood, so I was looking around and found a 12" iBook G4 (Mid 2005) on the Japanese proxy service Buyee.
I ended up winning the auction for $12AUD (About $8USD), and also paid shipping afterwards.
At the end of it all I ended up with a 1.33GHz iBook G4 with a slightly working battery (Around 9-10 minutes) and the original 40GB HDD.
I am going to replace the keyboard as a few keys are dead and then I might consider an SSD mod.
2.
After it was shipped I started wondering if it was going to make it in shipping and was a little worried so I looked around and found another iBook G4 on Marketplace.
It was only $50AUD ($33USD), so I jumped on the chance (note: iBooks here in Australia are pretty uncommon and in working condition sell for $120AUD or more).
I ended up with an iBook G4 14" 1.42GHz (top spec model, also from mid-2005), and the 60GB HDD.
The battery doesn't work on this one, but I'm going to try and replace it at some point and do an SSD mod + max out the RAM from 1GB to 1.5GB.
Overall very happy as I've wanted an iBook G4 for ages.
3.
Found a working MacBook unibody from late 2009 on Gumtree (Australia's Craiglist basically), and it was only $25 and had been upgraded to an SSD.
I asked a question, they forgot to answer for about 2 weeks and then we started talking about it again.
I asked how much it would be to post, and they ended up shipping it already as I provided my address so they could calculate it.
Either way, it only ended up being $50AUD total, with a working modern SSD, 3GB and a 2.26GHz Intel Core 2 Duo. Overall a good deal in my opinion.

That's all for now, although I'm definitely not done collecting yet.

Nice finds! I just won an iBook G4 on eBay for $9 + shipping (the mid 05' 12"). Hopefully it gives me memories of my old 1.2GhZ 12" that helped start my Mac journey in the early 2010s.

Awesome! I love the iBook G4s, they're pretty solid G4 machines.

I just found a Powerbook G3 (Wallstreet) on eBay for $32. If you haven't checked out Free Geek Portland (either their eBay page or their website), it's definitely worth checking out.
