Help!!!! The Dock is suddenly MIA in ubuntu . . .

. . . how do you get back, it disappeared?

I've got a slight problem. I need to send HP_Maxi Back to HP and I slightly bent the ubuntu install on HP_Mini in the process of setting it up as a stand in.

What's the keyboard combination to put the Dock back on the left side of the screen on last fall's release?

Do I need to get to the command line to restore it?

Is there a KBD Shortcut to get straight into settings?

I hate animal names . . . but this time I don't remember the friggin # either.

I fixed it, or it fixed itself more likely, apparently the dock got lost somewhere between two spanned screens. A trip out to the Graphite side of the MacPlaypen and then hooking HP_Mini up to the 22" 1080p HP LCD did the trick . . . poof!!!! . . . it reappeared automagically when I shut down the onboard LCD. Now it's working fine on the 20" 1200 x 1600 Dell on the Online Desk in the bedroom again . . .

. . . go figure! :

I'll leave this post up in case some other 'nix n00b has a similar problem.
