NIGHT STALKER
Dunno if everyone is aware of this resource, so I thought I'd post it: http://www.everymac.com/monitors/apple/
There are some interesting anomalies, like the Multiple Scan 15 being released (1994.07.18) with the LC630, having 1024x768 resolution, which the 630 series never supported. While the smaller Multiple Scan 14 was released a year later with a top res of 800x600/VGA (1995.08.07) alongside the 7200/7500/8500 which not only supports the MS15's 1024x768/19" resolution, but the 1280x870/21" resolution as well, not even matching the 630 series' 832x624/16" resolution, curious?
It makes sense in terms of matching with other products available in that era of change, but the coincidental release mismatch makes it an interesting tidbit for me.
The horrid selection of RoadApple PPC Performa 6XXX descendants of the very cool Quadra 630 bracket the MultiScan 14's release and were likely bundled with said POS Display. That would have added insult to RoadApple injury, as it didn't support the 832x624/16" resolution carried over from the Quadra 630. If that's the case, it would be an example of Spindlerism at its "best." :

There are other historical quirks to be explored: naming conventions, Trinitron vs. Shadow Mask choices, form factors, tilt swivel systems, etc.
