2400c Issues!

For owners of 2400c's, I've been having an issue with my 2400c.

I had GLOD but I figured out how to get out of it, which works for my 2400c. Now, whenever I shut down, and leave for ~24 hours, it won't boot unless I plug the PB into power adapter, and keep the PRAM-Reset Button pressed for some ~30 minutes. It boots fine and likes staying in sleep mode even, but the above problem is a peculiar one. Any thoughts on how to remedy or tackle the issue?

BTW, it has the PRAM battery plugged in still...but no GLOD issues thus far. Crossing my fingers. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

This thread gives details of the cells needed to replace your backup battery. They are common and cheap, I found that the soldering was not especially difficult, and the replacement backup battery that I fabricated worked. The old cells were actually leaking when removed, so it was a good thing to do.

My hunch is that if your machine will start, sleep, etc. with occasional GLOD, the most likely explanation and so the first port of call is that your backup cells are needing replaced.
