Edit: Never mind. I see that the dev is "Hideki Naito"
Do you have the name of the developer? I can try asking some of my friends in Japan to scour the Japanese blog world, but it would be great to give them more to go on!
I think that would be a wonderful contribution. If it is legal to extract a ROM with TomeViewer, why would it be illegal to extract it with some other piece of software?
Bitlbee works as a sort of solution, of course. It's a lot of fun.
A setup guide for Bitlbee in OS 7.5.5:

Here's an article that mirrors a long, fruitless experiment I tried a year and a half ago:

It looks at how well email clients for classic macos handle gmail. There are some notes in there about why this is tricky:

Thanks for the hard work and devotion, Classichasclass.
I'm very much looking forward to the new version. And also to the mysterious bonus for 68K users...
How about SheepShaver? Here is the latest version for Windows: http://www.emaculation.com/doku.php/sheepshaver

I'm not sure if the procedure you are following is going to give you something usable in the emulated system. However... can you just skip HFVExplorer and get the MacBinary file into the hard disk using the "My Computer" thing?
Can the MacBinary file that you now have be extracted...
There is a further (small) update to Mini vMac now available:
http://minivmac.sourceforge.net/
"There is now a Mini vMac 3.1.3 beta, with a few small bug fixes. (The Variations service is also updated.) Thanks to an anonymous bug report and patch, 16 and 32 bit color will now work in Intel OS...
The black screen, at least, doesn't happen in the older build. The bug was introduced along with the JIT code which is wholly unpresent in the 2008 build.
Here's a build from 2008 that doesn't have the black screen:

It is based on the older versions that you used, and is thus a bit slower (but on a modern system, the speed doesn't really matter).
I've been collecting freeware and shareware 1980s stuff on disk images for use in Mini vMac (mentioned earlier) that you might want to try out:

Some old classics are there. "Cairo Shootout" is one of the great 1980s shareware titles. You...
Might this guide help you setting up SheepShaver?

I sort of wrote it. If you run into some specific problems, maybe I can sort them out?
Edited to add:
Oh, and there is one for kegs, which is a nice way to emulate that IIgs...
