Mac SE - No bong on boot; 00000002 0000FFFF

0002 means that there is a problem with the ram: The first small chunk of RAM failed. The Z field indicates which RAM Bit(s) failed. This small chunk of RAM is always in Bank B. Using $AABBCCDD as a guide: AA=8 bit mask for bits 31-24 BB=8 bit mask for bits 23-16 CC=8 bit mask for bits 15-8 DD=8...

You have to recap the logic board. Then the sound problem might be solved.

1988 Mac Classic won't boot up

If the classic shows some signs of life, you can measure the voltages at the floppy port. There should be +5 and +12 V. 5V should be 4.85V for booting. If the analog board is the problem, then there are some more parts than the capacitors that can be defect. Most often: DP3 and DP4 (1N4148)...

    MacIPRpi beta release 6.02

The new image has the functionality to print to a modern printer. I was successful with printing to a HP MFC Laserprinter from a CC and a SE/30. Thanks to Mactjaap for his update.

    SE/30 clock stopped.

The SE/30 has no -12V at the floppy port, so that is ok.

    MacIPRpi beta release 6.02

I wrote the image to another sd card. Now I can login as root, the keyboard is ok. The password raspberry for the user pi does not work, but I could change it as root. A user macipgw does not exist, only a user timelord and pi. My windows computer can see the maciprpi and the shared drive. By...

    MacIPRpi beta release 6.02

I can choose another user but when I try to type the username or the password, I only get arabic letters. I can not write roman letters. Then the password is wrong. I saw that I am typing arabic letters, when i tried to change the user by typing the name. In the attached picture I typed pi.

    MacIPRpi beta release 6.02

I installed the image on a SD-card. The pi boots, but when I want to log in as user pi, my keyboard just shows "arabic" letters, so the password is wrong. Could it be that the keyboard is not set to english?I have to look, if I can log in by ssh and change the keyboard settings of my pi.

Just got a Macintosh 512k and I have some questions

    1) The best option would be the floppyemu which can emulate a HD20 and a floppy drive. It uses a micro sd card. The 512 has no scsi, so you can not use a bluescsi or something else. Or you buy or build a tashtwenty which emulates a HD20.

    Macintosh SE/30 M5119 - Restoration

I never saw caps like these in my SE/30s. May be that yours was recapped before, but was not cleaned very well or leaked again? If I got a SE/30 that looks like yours, I would have switched it on to check if it boots...

    Macintosh Classic II no boot

Did you measure the voltages at the floppy port? There are a lot of parts on classic AB that can be defect. Most often: DP3 and DP4 (1N4148), TDA4605, CNY17G, IRFBC40. And I would recap the AB.

    Looking for beta testers

    I have a plus, a 512k and a TL866 plus or a pickit 2. I think the TL866 can program AVRs. And I have an old PS2-keyboard. I am from Germany.
