Appreciate the info! After some checking, however, it appears the links to the drivers on this page point to the now-defunct Daystar FTP server:

I believe there is a system enabler and a control panel. The latest I've seen referenced are the following:
- Turbo 601 System Enabler v1.1.1
- Turbo 601 Control Control Panel v1.2.1
I've checked Macintosh Garden and a few other sites, but can only find the PowerPro software, not the Turbo 601...
Wondering what options work on this computer. I've read in 68k netbsd that the iifx doesn't work because of the iops, but I don't understand why they're needed, why is essential to use the serial ports and floppy, can't it be installed and used without them?
I've read different things about the iifx's special memory subsystem (separate r/w lines on the 64 pin simms, latched writes, etc) in Macworld and other pubs, but I have yet to find a detailed technical description of how it works. Can someone point me to a publication or any reference with this...
Thanks for the info, @bdurbrow! You mention you don't have source files and they wouldn't be useful, anyway; what I'm really interested in seeing is your FPGA and CPLD source files, which I would assume are written in some type of HDL (or a remote chance at schematic capture). Are you willing to...
Debating SCSI2SD (v6) vs RaSCSI (Pi 4b) vs BlueSCSI and concern is mainly sustained and random transfer speeds. Can someone point me to some benchmarks comparing these?
I have FPGA experience and I'm just now digging in to the "Designing Cards and Drivers for the Macintosh Family 3rd ed" and "Guide to MAcintosh Family Hardware 2nd ed", with the eventual goal of developing an FPGA-based CPU accelerator for the Mac IIfx PDS slot. Some questions:
1. Can someone...
I just received a Mac IIfx w/ Supermac Spectrum/24 video card. The computer is running OS 7.6.1. I am connecting it to my trusty old Dell 15" LCD VGA monitor via a Mitsubishi Mac to VGA adapter with 6 dip switches. The video is in color and readable, but washed out. Specifically, it seems like...
This is not entirely accurate. Because the Micromac website was still being hosted at http://www.micromac.com/products/speedy.html
I tried calling the 949 phone # on the site. A German-sounding man answered the phone, and when I asked if this was Micromac, he said "yes, but technically we are...
I see the Micromac website is still being hosted, with these accelerators still listed for sale. Anyone know if they're really still selling old stock?
Also, can someone familiar with the MT version of the Soeedy accelerator (for mac iisi, iifx, quadra 700/950) tell me the frequency range...
