From memory it's doubtfull that 128Mb simms would work...
Still I'd love to hear that it did work...
I record video with my 840av sometimes & the more memory the better... but are the simms fpm? & paired?
Haha :)
So I go and switch my 840av on... & the screen is about an inch off to one side!
It's catching!

I don't have a solution at this moment in...

I post personal things on facebook/myspace/imeem

Quadra 605 all the way.... except I'm not sure if I've ever seen one advertised... and they can be a bit pricey... is my gut feeling... so smallest maybe, & 605 is good, smallest with a bit of grunt (68040)... but cheapest?
I'd be transfering and converting video files & don't mind if...
What is the cheapest/smallest mac?
The contenders I can think of are;
Quadra 700
Powerbook duo 280c

I want something... I think I could live with os 7.1 if I needed to, but os 8.1 is better....
I'm not keen on os 9, but am keen to try os 10

But I don't know, as I am running os 8.1 & I have done this sort of thing many time before...

So I have my 840av working.... it's running off've a 2gig external hard drive.
I recorded some video and saved the file which then has to be converted, but when I try to save the converted file, from "Movie player", it begins the process, but then only gets maybe a 5th of the way through and...
So, we may have read my previous post... where I have bought a wireless internet router/modem, which I connected to the Quadra650 via an ethernet cable... and I think it killed the Quadra!
Ho hum, not sure that I can do anything about that...
Now, I've seen this device...

yeah,.... 10Mbps is understood & I thought the 650 & the router would just negotiate with each other...
It should be a good one, bought it new from a trusted retailer.....
Oh well, it's switched off just now.... can't get my pc to work with it either (known pc issues need sorting)
I bought a modem/router with ethernet ports and wireless.
I connected it to my Quadra 650.
The display on the 650 started flickering/rolling.
Is there any reason for the two to be connected?... the 650's display and the ethernet connection.
I know the 650 is only 10/100 whilst the modem...
