    Can I replace a XC68LC040RC33B In an LC575 With A XC68040RC40 MC68040RC40 40MHz CPU?

The answer is really don’t need it. The programmers couldn’t count on it being there because most of the machines were sold without a math coprocessor. So 99% of the software was written to not use one.

Can bad caps on Apple IIe card cause Mac to say card is not physically installed?

Yeah, it ended up being the capacitors. I swapped them out real quick because I saw the one was leaking pretty bad. Works perfect now and reliably.

Can bad caps on Apple IIe card cause Mac to say card is not physically installed?

I clearly have a bad cap that’s leaking, but my 575 board is simply saying it’s not physically installed and then occasionally it works fine. I’m going to replace the capacitors, however is that a symptom other people have experienced? It doesn’t say it’s defective. It says it isn’t there at all.
