I apologize then. I came off as a bit of a dickhead. I ended up Using your image on Basilisk II and copied it over to the 5.1 image. DSK images still can't be mounted so i ended up opening them in 7.5.5 and copying the contents of the actual image over to the 5.1 image which seems to work...
I'm running the REAL hardware off of a sillytinySCSI that i bought from ZigZag. With a 5.1 image from Reality’s website since I don’t own any Macintosh floppies.
I have a means of emulating 6.0.8 on mini vmac however none of the images that Realitystorm has on his websites work. with mini Vmac...
So issue is your images don't work on mini vmac. or at least the one i downloaded does not. I downloaded quite a few of them but they all come up with the dreaded X mac icon when trying to load.
Perhaps i did somethign wrong though but i've read over your guide a few times >.< i'll try again...
Sooo i did get an image working for Vmac that is 6.0.8 which i'm happy with. However none of the images i can find come with a way to mount disks on the desktop.. So even if i trasnfer over the DSK files to the 6.0.8 desktop. i can't use them on real hardware since the 6.0.8 image can't mount them.
Hiya Folks. thought it was just easier to make a new post since the issue is different..
At the moment i've gotten my Macintosh plus to boot on system 5.1. using the image on https://www.savagetaylor.com/downloads/downloads-macintosh/#3_contents_of_my_images
However i can't seem to do anything...
Huzzah. the new one works. It had a broken floppy drive and a broken back cover that was cracked to crap (Made worse by shipping i'm positive). Unfortunately i probably only caused more damage to the cover taking it off. but i replaced it with the old one. replaced the drive. cleaned it up a bit...
Perhaps my track-record with macintosh currently doesn't validate me to offer some assurance but as someone who works on CRT's in arcade monitors. That just sounds like regular monitor noise/flyback. If you were to adjust the voltage (i'm assuming the classic has one like the plus) or the...
i believe our boards are slightly different as our boards are different colours and i can't actually seem to find a C24 *unless it's been obstructed by the amount of glue they put around the capacitors* However i did find a C25 capacitor in the EXACT (based on photos) position of the one you're...
Unlikely it's the harness as i tested continuity with it unplugged on both sides. I know it's on Analog PCB because with the analog/power PCB connected to absolutely nothing. it still persists on pins 7 9 10.(Pin 7 and 9 are both continuity together since they're both ground and on the same...
So i went out on a adventure today albeit a snow stormy one and bought some Solder wick. A Solder Sucker that sucks. and a new soldering iron with a sharper tip. I removed all the previous work i had done and redid it to look better.. Between pins 9 and 10 on J4 it's not beeping for continuity...
These two wires have continuity between eachother. i believe the yellow one is 12volts and the orange one is ground based on this post..

Welp. I'm out of ideas. I cleaned the hell out of logic board with Q-tips and alcohol. everything looks fine on the logic. I redid the wires and put more appropriate shielded wires on as opposed to the cloth ones i used previously. I reheated every single solder joint..... and still no luck...
The battery (to my awareness) isn't anywhere near the logic board. however i did take the logic board out and am now inspecting it thoroughly. Nothing seems out of the blue except for this
This leg to the M/C 8850L chip (labeled as 'filter' on the board) is soldered and or pressed up against...
So circuitry isn't my strong suit but based on what i can personally view of the machine. I would say no. it seemed like those traces in particular were the worst of the analog board. If you give me just a few moments here i'll discharge the CRT and the board and inspect it.
Here's a video of me moving the macintosh mouse around while it's in the 'waiting for floppy disk' screen. When the mouse isn't moved a white dot still goes from top to bottom. it wasn't as noticeable before but now that i messed with the cutoff it's alot more present.
Floppy disk icon with the ?. It's not blinking but the floppy disk drive isn't plugged in. It blinks and works when it's plugged in though. Background is black and when the mouse is plugged in and i move it around a bunch of white dots appear on the screen and go nuts when it's moved around
