Japanese support in BeOS 5 is all broken...
All the BeaCon reports...
BeOS requires a MMU to run so it won't work in SheepShaver.
And that specific error message Phipli gets is what happens when you try loading BeOS inside SheepShaver on BeOS.
BeOS Launcher/OS Chooser didn't get upgraded after 4.5.
Archive deleted my bespecific page and sent me a virustotal report about compsysbe6.zip claiming it has a worm inside...
Obviously a mistake but heh, what can you do.
I'll upload the 7zipped iso images again on separate pages later this week.
There are links to the author or publisher websites usually, sometimes files are also present on those.
There was a big BeOS community in Japan, many books were published, a few conferences, BeOS was sold with a PC from Hitachi, and also been used for years on a line of Roland/Edirol video...

Beshare is chat and filesharing programs, there might still be a working server or two for it.
Quake 1, 2 and 3 are x86 only.
There's also Abuse, Worms Armageddon, Heretic, Descent.
A port of Unreal Tournament also exists.
I added the studioBuilder .iso to the archive page, and started uploading the BeSpecific discs at https://archive.org/details/bespecific-discs
Regarding magazines, you have some here

For older ones, you have to look in...
Sure, I can make an .iso later.
You could transfer the files via ftp to BeOS in the meantime, it usually works!
Corum III is x86 and PPC compatible, I always forget, contrary to other official retail games for BeOS like Civ CTP and Hopkins FBI.
Only a single hfs track, unusual for BeOS software.
You can run apps in direct fullscreen mode with that ixMicro card I think, like Doom for example.
Not the case with a Mach64, from the quick tests I did some time ago.
For studioBuilder, I uploaded only the contents of the disc, it has an hfs track, weirdly enough...
There's a "large" archive for PPC, a small one for Intel and a zipped directory of media samples.
Added some screenshots too on the archive page.
You're welcome!
A dual 604e 9600, nice!
