    Macintosh IIFX intermittent power issues

So I fixed it. When replacing the leaky cap by C24 I lifted the pad off the electrolytic positive pad which I didn’t realize cut the connection to the next component. I bodged a wire from the new tantalum cap to the next component off the trace and now all is well. The pic is before the ripped...

    Macintosh IIFX intermittent power issues

Not sure if my post went thru last time so I will try again. Acquired a IIFX. Replaced batteries. Replaced floppy drive for known working one. Upgraded memory to 64mb (ouch on cost but glad is available). Cleaned board and thoroughly dried on dehumidifier. Installed bluescsi with 5 180mb...

Color Classic II won't boot from BlueSCSI V2

I just used an 8GB sd card and put a 4GB image on it. It now works. Didn’t know BLUESCSI was so picky on sd cards.

Color Classic II won't boot from BlueSCSI V2

Now working although disk jockey, had some weird trouble trying to make a four gig partition and a 3.25 gig partition. The first one showed the proper size, but the second one and then showed a negative value. It might just be a weird quirk in the program.

Color Classic II won't boot from BlueSCSI V2

So it was 2 incompatible SD cards. A 2GB Lexar and a 2GB Transcend both were not recognized by the BLUESCSI. So save yourself a lot of time and connect the BLUESCSI to the computer. If the green light flashes 5 times it doesn’t recognize your SD card. Get another one. If the green light flashes...

Color Classic II won't boot from BlueSCSI V2

So I’m having the same problem. An internal Bluescsi v2 by JCM. Boots fine off physical hard drive but never sees bluescsi and I bought 3 of them. I assume there’s nothing wrong with the bluescsi as I believe Joe tests them and I mean come on 3 bad ones. I don’t think so. I will try a different...

Performa 275 (Colour Classic II) with 68040 but everything I see says it should have a 68030.

Thank you all for chiming in! I may go bluescsi but I had no success getting the cc to find the device. I used Disk Jockey with a 2GB (1.84 usable) SD card and made a 1GB partition on SCSI 0 and 840MB on SCSI 1 but it would not see it. Formatted card with exfat. I was able to get a different...

Performa 275 (Colour Classic II) with 68040 but everything I see says it should have a 68030.

OMG I feel dumb. I just realized this is an LC575 motherboard (Mystic) so that answers my question but still and thoughts about it would be fun.

Performa 275 (Colour Classic II) with 68040 but everything I see says it should have a 68030.

Hello. My first post so be easy on me. Been collecting vintage computers for close to a decade. I came upon a Performa 275 on Yahoo Japan Auctions. It arrived safely but I’m doing the standard maintenance on it. Floppy needed lubricating. Rayovac 840 battery needs replacement. Hard drive was...
