I guess according to this, the IIci slot isn't a PDS slot but its own unique thing. Does that mean I still need to find drivers for the accelerator?
I recently bought Bolle's 040 accelerator to put in my iici, and while it seemed to work, I decided to run a tattletech report, and it only reported back the 68030 @ 25Mhz, and when I went to the Nubus/PDS slot section, it said 0 physical PDS and 3 physical nubus.
Is this a shortcoming with...
The image is on the storage contained within the (extended) memory of the rom itself.
What images do you have on the BlueSCSI? If you only have 4mb installed, that might not be enough to actually load the OS.
That's just for diagram simplification.
The pins you want to check are the numbers in red. (For example, the VID(6) line goes from pin 12 of UE8 to pin 22 of UC6).
Yup.
Fascinating; where did you tap the probe? It sounds like the issue really is related to the traces. (If the pattern is indeed a vertical jailbar).
Check the schematics and tap your multimeter to each of the chips where the traces say they should lead. If you have continuity, move on to the next trace, and so on and so forth.
I had to do it to get a (admittedly less severe) video issue fixed with my own SE/30.
Relevant schematics and such...
Post here if you need help! I'm probably going to need to recap my display at some point (though the contrast issue seemed to have been mostly related to dirty power), so I'm fine with pulling it apart to help with some troubleshooting sometime.
Got the radiusware software.
Took a couple of restarts, but everything works now. The ghosting issue is still happening, so I assume I must need to recap it or something like that.
I feel the same way about mine. That, and the feel of alps oranges (on the IIgs style-keyboard) somehow motivates me to write.
Guilty as charged - my move to my SE/30 is concurrent with a switch to an M0116, which has *salmon* alps. It's such a small change, but I still feel it. Hopefully it...
I agree with this, it's something I learned for myself, and have now done a few more times.
I use my Classic for writing, though I'm moving my work to my SE/30 soon. Compacts make nice word processors, and the 030 lets Word run just a bit faster.
All right. First off, I got the video card installed:
Easy enough.
Next I got the video cable wired up using the diagram provided by @CircuitBored, and made a couple educated guesses:
And the key for the pins:
Note: Blue was marked as "Ground" but as I didn't have a matching pin to connect...
Not sure about TTL but I'd guess V-select is the sense signal that indicates which way around the monitor is, as IIRC in my research I came across that it uses a mercury switch to detect it.
I dug into both the macintosh video pinout and the color pivot pinouts, and while they don't necessarily have any bearing on the monochrome Pivot, I think I saw some parallels.
Please let me know when you do! I have the parts for a DB-9 to DB-15 cable (bought a solderless, wired up DB-9 as well as a db-15 end connector) coming on Monday, and might have a look myself, but I'm hesitant to go disassembling the Radius monitor due to being unfamiliar with it.
