Thank you, I checked the voltages and got another classic Mac, which has a surprise processor expansion. But I'll change the capacitors on the AB board. In the latter, accidentally measuring voltages, I shorted pins 12 and 5 of the floppy connector and now it only gives me RAM squares, but...
Did you recap the logic board?
I put new ceramic capacitors. Did you measure the voltages at the floppy port (5 and 12 volts)?
At first I think of booting from rom but are those voltages necessary to boot only from rom?
Did you recap the analog board?
No, but it shows voltages and frames when...
"I think my ROM is dead, it's not going past that and it's not making any noise anymore, it's a shame. I'm posting to see if anyone is selling a ROM so I can rule out the issue."
Hello everyone!
I am a user from Barcelona, Spain and I suspect that my board has a damaged ROM. I have been experimenting with a Mac Classic and I have noticed that I am getting lines on the screen, just like another user who solved the issue by changing the ROM. Unfortunately, Mac Classics are...
Thanks
I think it's something from the cut tracks but after 5 hours I haven't found anything, I'm afraid the Rom is dead but it's weird it does the same thing to me with two Roms and I don't think it's both dead. I have ordered a new board and will solder everything there again
MORE information, if I put the original AM50C80AJC, it loads me rom, and floppy.
If I put the Z53C8003VSG on it, it loads a gray screen with the mouse active.
the same if I turn it on without any SCSI Microchip.
I don't know if the chip is dead or the new one isn't working, but I don't...
Hello, I introduce myself, I'm from Spain and I recently rescued a mac classic for an auction, but I accidentally made a mistake.
Everything was correct, I changed the capacitors for tantanium, and even the hard disk worked well. I bought a bluescsi kit and here to look at a previous model, I...
