Really well done!! I LOVE these 500 series, and I have three working 540c, and several parts machines. I bought a machine from a gentleman about four years back, and it had a screen problem. But, it also had three things in it: 1. 32 Mb Ram card. 2. APS 800Mb hard drive 3. NewerTech 603e...
Just an interesting point: when I run Marathon on my color Classic Mystic, it skips when booting to 8.1, but runs smoothly when booting to 7.5. Also have Spicy o clock up to 49 Mhz and 60ns VRAM.
Hey, just resurrecting this conversation. I purchased a IIsi system a few years back, and it had one of these cards in it. It did not come with the monitor however. I found a gentleman who created an adapter that provides 1024X768 on a separate display. The IIsi also came with a riser card...
After reading this post, I hooked up a couple of my 500 series, and I found that the monitor output is active even with the lid open. However, I also found that one of my 540s does NOT output video, but a 2nd one DOES. I'm going to have to remove the logic board from the one 500 and swap it...
I just got the BlueSCSI v2 with WIFI running on my Mac Portable. I'm wondering if this software will work with that? Has anyone tried this with less than a 68030 Mac?
My friend 3d printed some clutch covers, I haven’t test fitted them yet, but they look identical. I’ll ask him about his designs again, apologies for not following up on this.
Hey all, a guy not far from me had a large collection of vintage computers fully restored: Coleco Adam, TI 99 4/A, Amiga, etc. i bought two LCs from him and one of them had this card:
Apparently it’s quite rare. Has @Bolle or anyone else reverse engineered this yet? There’s no FPU in it...
The Micron card is hard set to $09 the Radius and MacCon can be changed to $0A and $0B so to not conflict with $0E (built in video). It would be super cool if $0E could be dedicated to another card instead somehow.
Glad you like them! I should add that the card did work with that weird B&W video card, I think I tried it in both slots and it worked.
I also installed the PDS to Nubus adapter (with metal bracket) with a full sized Rasterops 24Mx. It worked as well, but the card is so large, it barely fits...
Hey there!! That is absolutely crazy!!!! I have read that you can also install MacOS X with the G3 upgrade using XpostFacto. Wondering if you could also install Leopard or even Sorbet Leopard possibly. It would be amazing to see BeOS running on there as well.
Could you provide the link to...
