OMFG, I just re-read Bolle's last post. "C7 connects to ground, the others should be left floating" I desoldered C20 on my TS with NIC and its working now. unreal.
Just wanted to throw out there that I as well have this exact same issue, I gave up not happy. Looking through 68kmla now I see this has been a complaint going back to before I bought it. I have the bolle 030/50 daystare clone and his twinspark + Network riser. I have dried multiple SE/30s and...
battery is not a requirement, I had no battery in mine for a very long time without issue. if you have a spare working se/30 why not swap some parts to isolate the issue. Like take the known working motherboard and bring it over to the non working chassis. this would allow you to isolate the...
Dont believe there is any coatings on the metal parts. They are just the raw exposed alloy whichever was used. Depending on the component, you might be able to improve the appearance but I doubt you would ever be able to get the "new OE surface look" again.

HOLY COW! The 3400c really worth that much? I picked one up I think two years ago and I don't think I spent more then $40. I found a source for the pram battery that was identical. I recapped it because I saw signs the power board caps were starting to leak and I even got the battery to work but...
I purchased a damaged Xceed SE/306 off ebay.
This is the thread of the previous owner troubleshooting. I socketed the mux chips he replaced and sourced new ones from a more reliable source. I found some trace damage from the previous repair attempt and I corrected those. I am back to...
I have a 5300ce with this same condition. I have it stored on the shelf with the rest of my powerbooks. I always assumed this was a contamination that got on the display, like a solvent. Is this something that I should be concerned could "infect" my other powerbooks? My plan was to source...
