Printing to modern printers from a Mac serial printer port

Epson still makes/made recent dot Matrix printers too. But the netatalk option is awesome and economical.

    Custom Boot Chime Guide?

He is here, @bigmessowires but emailing BMOW's support email is always a sure shot.

    Custom Boot Chime Guide?

This is for the original ROMinator for machines like 512k/plus, not the ROMinator II SIMM.

    Custom Boot Chime Guide?

I don't recall it being too difficult; honeslty I only remember I did. I'd be surprised if it's not in the documentaion somewhere, or evident if you boot from the provided volume and explore its content.

    Apple IIe Resistor

In a perfect world, that decoupling cap shouldn't stop it from booting as indicated above, but being on the EF ROM I'd still replace it and then get to RAM checking / logic probe etc. next. Any "104" (.1 uf) ceramic cap should be fine, most folks don't keep axial capacitors around but a normal...

BeOS PowerPC Software and GoBe Productive

No problem, I used a bunch of it with my powermac 7500 + Sonnet CPU. Hopefully others find some things of use.

BeOS PowerPC Software and GoBe Productive

All the BeOS archives including ppc I know of are here https://pulkomandy.tk/~beosarchive/ He hosts it from his home; I hosts the 'mirror' subdomain on a real server. Using the search function just for ppc should give you a food start, and use the 'mirror' links for the actual files to avoid...

Adding fan on 6100 with DOS card.

Good deal, they make tiny ones, I have 40mm x 10mm thick one in my LCII with a little 3d printed adapter. Whisper quiet.

Adding fan on 6100 with DOS card.

I usually default to a 12V quiet fan. 5V runs a lot of important logic so I try to avoid using it for extra stuff if I can. I recommend sourcing a Noctua, so much quieter than cheaper fans. https://noctua.at/en/products/fan Drawing power from a molex should be just fine, and many Noctua's come...

Good & reasonable HDMI scaler: Extron RGB-HDMI 300(A)

In the inverse, the DVI-RGB 200 is a great box for hooking HDMI/DVI computers to VGA monitors and projectors. I still use one regularly.

Seeking beta testers for Mac Sync-inator VGA sync converter

Nice! I am also willing to test; seems we have a pretty good test bed but the offer stands by all means.

    Basilisk II serial ports... how?

One thing to check, what are the permissions on the socket(s) in /dev/ ? And subsequently, is your emulator running as a user with permissions to use them?

    Designing a Mac-to-VGA monitor sync-splitter adapter

Thanks for all that! to be clear the SS 200 is not a scaler in any way. It's only a sync processor. Extron makes a whole line of scalers and transcoders but this is not one.

    Designing a Mac-to-VGA monitor sync-splitter adapter

I hope to see this come to completion, some day when it all feels right. I was lucky to get a couple of these, some years ago, for very cheap: https://www.extron.com/product/ss200 They can strip sync on green among other things, but you need at least one BNC breakout cable, so while the...

    Apple ][+ Replacement PSU

Looks like a solid solution! I suppose pick based upon your skill, budget, and last but absolutely not least, amperage requirements. If you plan to load up every slot, pick a solution with a higher mA rating especially on +5v than your factory PSU is labelled for.

    Apple ][+ Replacement PSU

The reactive micro solution is nice, I use that myself. There is also a nice slightly more advanced way to fit a meanwell, which may try in the future. https://www.applefritter.com/content/putting-pt-65b-switchmode-power-module-apple-iie

Good & reasonable HDMI scaler: Extron RGB-HDMI 300(A)

I have a feeling you're not alone, people probably hoarded and / or simply lost them over time. Not a problem at all, whenever I realize I have something potentially unarchived, this is the least I can do. As an owner of at least 4 different devices of theirs, I find it a bit rough that the...
