I have been running a B&W G3 Rev. A. for quite a few years without incident. Note However, that it uses a scsi pci card, and therefor, scsi HDD, both internal and external, bootable... Zero problems, Think I'll Keep her a few more years... YMMV RP

With an external drive that size, we could back-up 4 or 5 of our imacs!!! It is not uncommon at our place to have more than one machine backed-up on a single external drive. RP

It has been awhile, so be patient w/ me... But, Apple Talk via ethernet [crossover] cable, should let you do the deed without removing the HDD['s]. I would at least try it using target disk mode, on the Lombard. Course, I have not done it using those particular machines... so I may stand...
