Just the ever-rotting polarizer. The one in the 520 is still good and crisp so not (too) worried, but the the 520c was bad before I bought it, and the 540c has degraded at a concerning pace over the past 6 months.

Can you please tell me where you’ve got the polarising film from, assuming you’re happy with it? 
I’ve received polarising film from AliExpress suppliers and not been impressed - just doesn’t block out enough light (when two pieces are overlaid at 90 degrees) and therefore doesn’t deliver enough contrast on the LCD
