What a handsome machine! I love this model so much.

@macuserman I've always had a soft spot for this particular design and it's grown on me even more since I've owned one. It's quite an industrial design, very much of its era, yet it has a certain character to it. It's a fairly nippy machine too, even running 8.1.

Yes something about it, it’s like the generic pc style plain square box but somehow with just this tiny bit of style that makes it stand out. I think maybe it’s the bezels shame everything is so fragile on these. I do have one that is my prime example currently mothballed while I work on other projects but easily one of my all time favorites.IMG_3268.jpeg

Don't think 2GB would have been original. It's a lovely looking machine!

What are you planning to run on it?

Edit - ah sorry, the later ones did come with 2GB. Ours was an 8100/80 and they only had up to a 1GB.

@Phipli You could configure them up to 2GB when they were new! That said, the only reason I think this could be the original disk is because it has "8100" written on it and it's the right age. I've no concrete plans for it; it'll just join the ranks of the various Macs that I set up and use on an irregular basis. Sadly I don't have room to set up more than a couple of Macs at once.

The desk space that was occupied by the 8100 is now being taken up by the S900, which I am in the midst of having my bi-monthly fist fight with.

@CircuitBored Didn't you get a bunch of parts from me for your S900? Still doesn't like to play nice?
