    Excellent explanation/picture - THANKS. I am expecting the problem only in the area of the startup circuit area, so I will start will the smaller silver ones in that area first, will then test it, but will not stop to replace the other caps even if the board is working then.

    Really ALL capacitors ? There are bigger ones (blue, like a tube), smaller silver "pot-alike" ones and very small ones (orange, rectangular)... I have examined the whole board (upper and lower side), I found only one unusual spot, see attached picture...
