Yeah I have no idea. I will play around with it and see what works. I might try Lido and see if it can see the drive. Do you think I need special software to see an external SCSI drive? I don't think so but I may be wrong.
Cool stuff. I set it to "0". It turns on but freezes my Macintosh SE desktop until I turn it off. Any ideas why It is functioning this way? Do I have to assign it a different number like "1"? Much thanks
Yeah its SCSI. On the back there is this number that is currently set to "0" with two buttons. Any idea what it does? its hooked up directly to the hard drive. I can provide a picture if you like
Hi Everyone - I was snooping around my local electronics Recycling shop and found a Vintage Macintosh External Hardrive.
I can't find anything about these units. Made by GCC Technologies "Ultra Drive 20". Did a great clean up - filled with so much dust and debris. I should of taken a before and...
I have an original macintosh SE that I have not recapped. It works perfectly. None of the Capacitors are bloated or leaking. Like most of the posters suggest, don't change a thing until you need to. When my PRAM battery went; I changed it. I suggest Clean the contacts on your memory. I used to...
Tried MacLynx and WannaBe today...WannaBe wont work with the system "no draw software?" and MacLynx freezes...talk about bad luck! is there any other text browsers out there that work for the macSE?
What browser is everyone using? My Macintosh SE has only 4 Megs of RAM and its a toss between Mosaic 1.03 and MacWeb. Mosaic shows text much better where as MacWeb for me reveals the occasional button or two on some modern websites like the google home page.
Maybe as a mac resource =...
Thanks BadGoldEagle! I think the floppy Emu can only do 20MB disks at a time if I put it into "Disk Mode". When it is in Disk mode it searches for the name "HD20" as the disk. I'm curious if I take a 80mb or 160mb disk image and call it HD20 if it will work. I will try that soon enough. Yeah...
Hi Everyone!

For me I have had my Macintosh SE for almost 25 years and the hard drive was getting to a point where it was not spinning up most of the time (usually took 2-3 reboots to get it going) so i did some research about the SCSI2SD converter. From...
