IIci etc. ATX to 10pin Adapter

@crazyben just download the files from GitHub and upload the zip file as it is at jlcpcb. In the further steps you also need the bom and picknplace files if you want them to assemble everything except the through hole components.

IIci etc. ATX to 10pin Adapter

I am still waiting for the atx connectors to be delivered. Everything else (pcb, 10-pin connectors) has already arrived and is waiting to be assembled. And of course it has to work afterwards ;) If you don't mind a higher price per adapter (import fees): I have 2 left and could work out the price.

Quadra 700 overclocked at 37.5 MHz

Additional to Branchus‘ pinout I had RxD+ on TxD+ connected and GND to HSKi to HSKo. There are several pinouts for rs232 and rs422 out there in the www - very confusing. That was „my“ best-of version which was obviously no good idea. You’re right, got that… I see :( Though I hope not; the...

Quadra 700 overclocked at 37.5 MHz

That’s it ;) On sunday I assemble a new one the way Branchus reverse engineered it. Sorry for my foolish acting!

Quadra 700 overclocked at 37.5 MHz

These are the connections on the loopback cable (tested various other combinations, this was the only one working): RXD+ <> TXD+ RXD- <> TXD- GND <> CTS+ (HSI+) <> RTS+ (HSO+)

Quadra 700 overclocked at 37.5 MHz

It runs with no feedback and tells only pass/fail afterwards. Check. To test the rs422 port to check full function, could I connect an SE/30 directly to the Q700 by using Kermit? If so, which cable could I use?

Quadra 700 overclocked at 37.5 MHz

Snooper tested Handshake and different transfer rates… It’s worth to test flow control with Kermit… Will do this on sunday - Thank you all!

Quadra 700 overclocked at 37.5 MHz

@Phipli @jeremywork Quick question: If it’s neither software nor hardware - could it be both? In other words: Could the ROM be affected because different routines for printing and serial tasks are existing? Maybe I damaged a connection from the clock to the ROM or so…

SE/30 HDD LED - Red or Yellow?

It’s pink, really? 😱 The led in my ci was amber, too…

SE/30 HDD LED - Red or Yellow?

If you keep the stock housing, stay with amber or orange. If you put it into a colored MacEffect case, choose the led color accordingly :)

AppleTalk over IP/Ethernet is on at OS 8.1 and off (because not installed) on OS 7.0.1

Quadra 700 overclocked at 37.5 MHz

Both printers are untouched (in the sense of the housing being originally closed) and connected with two different proper power cables - the Quadra, too. For the connection an original apple cable is being used.
