And I wish you could like posts. :)
Thanks, I've got a couple 33ERs on the way to try. But got a bit of a backlog of things I need to fix/test before I can move onto the QS again.
In this case, the two parts are AP7361C-33E-13 or AP7361C-33ER-13. The R is what tells you it's the SOT-233R package. So the suffix is unnecessary here. I bought the 33E by mistake, but you confirming the 233R package means it should be the 33ER that folks grab.
At least that's my reading of...
Aha, thanks for this. I assumed it was either voltage or pin order, but I just haven't had the time since my last attempt to revisit the regulator swap (I don't tend to let my QS go to sleep when I use it). Good to know that I should grab the correct part and try again.
I'm curious how this goes. I thought the 3114 (4-port) ones had known issues with the Quicksilver G4s, but maybe I was reading old information. I went with modding an Adaptec card.
As a data point for the issue in the thread, before I got the SATA card, I had the same OWC SATA SSD connected...
I see finkmac already shared the schematic.
I did something similar on mine, and those schematics helped a ton for making sure my work was correct. Probably will be helpful if you continue to get the death chime after this.
I also would consider removing the RAM SIMM when tracing down the...
I know this is an older post, but are you sure the bolded is the right part? I bought a couple based on this recommendation before realizing it has a 6V max rating, versus the 12-15V rating of the original. I didn’t realize the difference until after I put the DI regulator onto the board and it...
I somewhat answered this on my own by printing out one of the ducts and trying it. At least with my Noctua, I notice a definite drop in airflow with the duct installed. So while it is more directed, now I'm wondering if it might be a bit of a placebo.
Just wanted to drop-in to confirm that the NF-A6x15 FLX is almost a drop-in replacement for the original, and a good choice. It's got around 25% more airflow and less objectionable noise. Looks like Apple used the lowest speed of the range of fans available in my Q605 (HDF6015L-12LB). So they...
Not sure if you were able to answer this separately since it’s been a few months, but these look like Cisco terminal adapters. So these would go in a serial port, and let you use cabling that can be hooked up to patch panels and the like in a central system. So imagine an office where you have a...
