There's a
VINTAGE APRICOT PORTABLE COMPUTER MOUSE & POWER on ebay uk at the moment.
It could bring you one step closer to having the complete kit! ;D
I've just got an Apricot F1 circa 1984/5 and comes with a wireless (infra-red) keyboard and a version of the GEM user interface.
This is probably one of the more 'interesting competitors' to the original Mac at the time and will be good to compare it's abilities closer. This will be the first...
Finally, what was promised some months ago has arrived:
PowerMac 7500 with PowerPC 604/120 upgrade and loads of A/V ports.
Quadra 610
Quadra 800 with a PowerPC 601 @ 66 Mhz.
SE/30 - d.o.a :-( Monitor is duff... Hopefully the motherboard is still good.
Apple IIc with Monitor
Apple II...
I've been contacted by a friend who claims to be able to pass on the following for me:
I'm drooling already... fingers crossed these come to fruition. :D
Well the two old powerbooks (190cs and 500 with PowerPC) arrived yesterday.
I must say, wow! the Powerbook 500 was really built well. Compared to the 190cs which creaks and groans when you pick it up, the 500 is solid in comparison.
Anyone know much about the Powerbook 500 with PowerPC...
That's really good and useful news, I'll have to start saving my pennies and get a couple of them. My Powerbook 100 needs a SCSI harddrive replacement as well.
Luckily I have one from a very dead (though flame free) 5300 I'm hoping will fit :-)
As for getting a SCSI HD for the PB 500, here's hoping someone will come out with a SCSI to compact flash adapter or something...
Hi all,
I've just received a lovely working Powerbook 170 from ebay, the ebayer claimed it kept switching off, luckily it was a loose connection in the Power Adaptor which was easily fixed by using a spare.
Currently waiting on a Powerbook 500 with PPC and (my second) Powerbook 190cs both won...
You find a Powerbook 165 in your collection you did not know you had! [:I] ]'>
The confusion started a couple of years ago when I came to use the Powerbook, I found the 165 was actually a Powerbook 190cs, I thought I must have made a mistake and altered my collection list accordingly.
So...
Oh yes! I don't think the chap knew what he was selling just quoted the spec on the back of the machine.
There was a SCSI and 4 way USB card in the back as well. :-)
I think the mighty mouse generally sells for more than that on its own.
