    New PB1xx batteries

Hello! I've built and sold 30 of them since the beginning of October. The manufacturer of the battery packs is sold out right now so I'm out of stock, but I'll have more available soon. I'm buying 10 at a time and once they're built, tested, and charged, I list them on Tindie and then once...

    Macintosh Portable M5126 SCSI 5V

Thanks. I read 0V, 5.2V, 5.2V on Q20. As soon as I test R173 with my multimeter, it activates the 5V going to the SCSI port and powers up the drive...

    Makeshift Battery for PB180

That battery page says: Is that not enough to be safe that you still want to install your own fuse/thermostat?

    Macintosh Portable M5126 SCSI 5V

I recapped an M5126 and swapped its PMGR chip and everything seems to be working now, except internal SCSI termination power. With it booted, I show 12V on SCSI pins 31 and 32 but only about 2.3V on pins 33 and 34. The middle pin on the floppy interface shows 5.2V, as do other 5V things like...

Driver for CNET CN490e SCSI to Ethernet adapter?

Same here, and of course the disk that came with it is damaged  I was able to recover some of it with an Applesauce but it's got damage in the "490E Script" and "Network Resources" files which contain the drivers, particularly the ENET0 DRVR resource has a chunk missing. Here is the...

    RaSCSI Development Thread

Is it just mine or does the RaSCSI run exceptionally hot? Even when it's not passing any traffic, the row of chips on the top of the board is too hot to touch. The Raspberry Pi it's attached to runs fairly cool.

PowerBook 180 serial ports not working

I can't seem to get any traffic flowing between the modem or printer ports on my PB180, talking to an Apple Modem 300/1200 or any other RS422 device (or RS232 devices through an RS232->RS422 converter that works on my Mac Plus) through an Apple DIN8->DB9 connector. It does have an internal...

    RaSCSI Development Thread

Hello, cyber pals. I've been recording a series of videos on C Programming on System 6 using a camera (iPad) in front of my Mac 512Ke/Plus.  After reading about the ScuzzyView device, I figured it should be possible to make something similar that sends the screen buffer over the SCSI port and...
