    Macintosh Plus burnt analog board.

I've removed it and it is a 1N4007, ordered some and will be replacing and checking if that fixes it. Thanks

    Macintosh Plus burnt analog board.

CR24 is shorted, the other ones are fine. Good call! What diode do I need to replace this one? Kind hard to read them.

    Macintosh Plus burnt analog board.

I've recapped (240v analog board) a Macintosh Plus a year ago and everything was fine. Recently when I tried to boot it it blew its fuse. On further inspection I can see burned off pcb in C33. I've attached photos of the carnage. Can I recover this? or is this analog board now dead?

    Macintosh classic AB woes

I've replaced all capacitors and no change. But changing the TEA2037 fixed it! So for future reference if you get horizontal line across the screen, this IC could be the culprit.

    Macintosh classic AB woes

Now I have another issue... I have a bright horizontal line across the screen. I've reflowed the yoke pins, the flyback pins, all of the logic board connection pins (I have continuity on all of these pins). Tested the logic board and it is fine in another macintosh chassis. I've ordered...

Mac Classic with a wobbly screen after recap

I believe it's the other way around but yes. I had this already but my 12v would go up a lot and my 5v would just nudge a bit. After this second clean both 12v and 5v were high. I turned pp1 down a bit and both 12v and 5v were in spec, now everything seems to be ok.

Mac Classic with a wobbly screen after recap

I have seem to have fixed my voltage issues by cleaning the AB again with massive ammounts of IPA. I now get good voltages if I adjust PP1.

    Macintosh classic AB woes

It seems to be fine now. Maybe the board was not completly dry and shorting? Well I will keep testing it for the next few days.

    Macintosh classic AB woes

I've seen in a youtube video that someone was having issues with the AB after a recap and that cleaning the board again fixed it. I had cleaned mine with IPA after the recap but decided to give it another go. I've took the board out and soaked the pcb with my IPA spray and let it run and dry. I...

    Macintosh classic AB woes

Thank you guys. I've ordered the diodes and the optocoupler and will try those. Do I have to socket the optocoupler because of solder iron heat?

    Macintosh classic AB woes

I'm trying to fix my Classic 240v AB but things went worst than expected. I was having some know power delivery issues and decided to recap the AB. I've replaced the usual caps, cleaned the board with IPA (some corrosion but not that much) but when I turned it on: nothing. 5v was low, 12v was...
