    8600/300 not booting.

Try 2 things. If you have a spare PCI GPU (like a Mach 64 or Rage 128 for Mac) try booting with a graphics card installed. DB15 can be weird at times. It could also be picky/bad/dirty RAM. Remove the RAM modules, clean all of the RAM slots (cotton swabs soaked in 91% rubbing alcohol works fine)...

B&W G3 (Rev 2) Tiger Woes, Possible RAM Fault?

Ok it was still crashing, albeit not quite as often. I set the CPU from the 450mhz overclock I had back to 400mhz and it's all fixed now.

B&W G3 (Rev 2) Tiger Woes, Possible RAM Fault?

OK, after cleaning the RAM modules and the RAM slots, it seems to be fine right now. Will post updates if anything else changes.

B&W G3 (Rev 2) Tiger Woes, Possible RAM Fault?

It's been overclocked @ 450mhz for months. No issues as far as I remember, until now.

B&W G3 (Rev 2) Tiger Woes, Possible RAM Fault?

Hello, I've been having issues with my B&W Power Macintosh G3 Rev. 2. It's a 400mhz unit that has it's CPU overclocked to 450mhz. I installed Tiger 10.4.6 from DVD to a 128GB SSD (connected to a flashed Sil3112 SATA PCI card). The first half of the SSD is for OS 9 and the other half is for OS...

Interest in adapting 744x to 7400?

Hey. I was wondering if these G4 CPUs could be transplanted on to a processor card from a Beige/Blue and White G3. It would be cool to lift a G3 off the Processor Module just to put a G4 on it.

ADC powered G4 Towers and AGP GPUs

Hello. For an AGP 4x or 8x Radeon or GeForce card (OEM or Retail not flashed) to work in a Quicksilver 2002, would pins 3 and 11 still need to be disabled for the system to work? Been looking at cards like the Radeon 9600 or 9800 Pro that were pulled from Power Mac G5 systems (with AGP).

Power Macintosh 9600 with G3/300 upgrade can't install 9.2.2 with OS 9 Helper

Welp, I'm stupid lol. I had to install the OldWorld FireWire Patch first due to my system having a USB/FW400 combo card installed. Then 9.2.1 and 9.2.2 were installed successfully.

Power Macintosh 9600 with G3/300 upgrade can't install 9.2.2 with OS 9 Helper

I didn't go through archive.org. I used Macintosh Garden and Macintosh Repository with no luck.

Power Macintosh 9600 with G3/300 upgrade can't install 9.2.2 with OS 9 Helper

I've redownloaded 9.2.1, OS9Helper and I tried again, but I got the same result.

Power Macintosh 9600 with G3/300 upgrade can't install 9.2.2 with OS 9 Helper

For context, OS9Helper says the 9.2.1 Update file is invalid.

Power Macintosh 9600 with G3/300 upgrade can't install 9.2.2 with OS 9 Helper

I currently have Mac OS 9.1 installed on my G3 upgraded Power Macintosh 9600 (Tsunami Board) and am trying to update to 9.2.2 with OS9Helper. However, whenever I try installing the 9.2.1 patch it fails all the time. I extracted the Mac OS 9.2.1 update sit file with Stuffit Expander. Was I...

Which is the better PM 9600 mainboard?

I struck purple! G3/300 with 512k of cache! It's effectively the Power Express 9700 that we never got. Best $125 I have ever spent. And yes, it works. PRAM battery was also replaced. It had 272MB of RAM (4 x 64MB + 2 x 8MB) but sadly 2 of the 64MB modules are causing the system to be unstable...
