Tunnel Vision On Monochrome Active Matrix Powerbooks

I have to add some recent observations of mine. I noticed with a Powerbook Duo 250 with an active matrix screen it had leaky caps of course. I replaced the caps. Now when the tunnel vision occurs it gets more darker around the bottom left where the leaky caps were that match up when the...

Rebuilding the Apple Network Server 700 Power supply

Bradley I’ll buy the 500 ps off of you if you want. No biggie if not. Just figured I’d throw it out there 😊

Rebuilding the Apple Network Server 700 Power supply

Oh and if you haven’t recapped your 700 power supply yet just be careful on some of the througholes. I had issues with a few hole vias coming out. I do recommend a desoldering gun (which now I have). And practice with it if possible before on something else. It’s good to spot the leg area with...

Rebuilding the Apple Network Server 700 Power supply

Great job on the 700 Power Supply. Techknight worked on my ANS 700 power supply. It had a bunch of failed components. He has a ANS 500 PS of mine he's working on and hopefully he can get it working. I recapped it but it's dead as a doornail.

    Packing Lisa for shipment

The only thing that I have experienced with Widgets is the little glass plate that lines up the heads where they should be on the platter. I have had a few fall off internally that were glued in place. There are others that I have opened up and inspected that were not glued but had a bracket...

    Powerbook 100

You have to recap the 3.3uf 50v capacitors in the screen. I use a very tiny needle and gently pry up the little rubbery/gooey covers on the screw covers on the bottom of the screen. I forget how the front display comes off.. I think bottom first and you slide up. (Sorry I forget). Then once...

Apple Network Server 500 lives (sort of)

They are ingenious little things! Totally worth it!!! Highly unlikely that coin cell will leak... It's been a long time since I've seen a coin cell leak. And if so the damage is not nearly as bad as the regular PRAM batteries... especially the Maxell... (I cringe when I see one of those) If it...

Looking for information on this Macintosh Portable PDS card

Ok after a lot of work transferring the file around and having issues uploading it today on my work computer (PC) I have finally posted it on Macintosh Garden. Sorry I had to .rar the .image file made with Disk Copy 4.2... They wouldn't allow me to upload a .image file. Let me know if you have...
