wrangler
Hi all, I'm wondering if anyone can help me get started with programming the DSP3210 as found on the AV Quadras. Specifically, I am looking for: a copy of asm3210 that used to be here ftp://ftp.csua.berkeley.edu/pub/jwang/develop/ once upon a time and a full copy of the "DSP3210 Information Manual" - only incomplete copies appear on the web. Many thanks!
cheesestraws
I do not have any of this information, but would also like to have a copy if anyone else has it.

Andy
I can't find the assembler software around, but i was able to find some discussions and example code. The devnote for the Quadra AV has an overview https://cdn.preterhuman.net/texts/computing/apple_hardware_devnotes/Centris 660AV-Quadra 840AV.pdf There's some example code here https://macgui.com/downloads/?file_id=13576 And there's a minifaq here that talks about the software needed to program it http://ftp.vim.org/pub/ftp/ftp/infomac/info/hdwr/av-dsp-faq-101.txt Finally there are some old forum posts of people looking for software, you might try reaching out to them and see if they were able to mirror anything https://mac68k.info/forums/thread.jspa?messageID=2070
wrangler
Thanks, appreciated, although I was aware of those things. I was really after (either or both of) the two things I listed in the OP.
beachycove
If you could find the James Wang of the AV Macs FAQ (could well still be active), e.g. at Berkeley, which is where he was at the time of the FAQ, you could try a direct approach by email or — shudder — a letter in the post! mrpippy
The only copy I've ever found was right here on 68kmla!
