I have to post this first, because this is what got me back into my glorious 68k days:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/181957817730?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

I had been eye balling this for a while and knew about the service for over a year, but I was really unsure about safe the boards would be.

Back at my old house, I had a board I was working on that was just sitting out, and I was like "keep it, don't throw it away" but I just had so much wasted time with it I threw it away (Quadra 3), but one thing I did remember was this board just fits so nicely in a Medium Priority Box, I thought to myself, if I could just send this it could probably make in the Priority Box just thrown right in :D haha.

Well when I read about this service, when I read somewhere on the maccaps.com or eBay, or email that said, and they fit perfectly in a Medium Priority Box, I was like prefect I going for it.

Well long story WORKED OUT GREAT!

but I the reason I got back to this was because I found this bad boy! ...

I had one of these already from my broken 840av but then I ended up getting lucky and arranging an arrival of a Quadra 800 for A/UX 3.1.1:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/252251881778?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

I thought to myself if I get the A/UX up and running well, and I have one at SCSI 0 and the other at SCSI 1, I'll just do a FAT ASS dd for a pure RAW ASS backup.  It's going to be fun.  But I'll probably just end up doing a dd to an image.  But if one of the drives fail I'll be able to dd from the image to the other drive that survives!  SWEET! (jumpers and adapters and all)

This was a freaking STEAL:

I tried doing the old S-Video switcher right?  But no dice!  That doesn't work unless you gut lucky I suppose.

So I went to eBay, and BLAM!  $8,

I was like holy destiny, I couldn't hit BIN Quick Enough!

After using the (previous post) Ex Tend It PC/Mac Adb Switcher, which was incredible,  because I have the "Classic" Apple Extended Keyboard (M0115) but when it's plugged in I can't shut down, because for some reason it fires the power key, when shutdown or when plugged-in, BUT the ADB switcher SOLVED that problem it no longer fires the power button, I can safely shutdown.  And Switching is so smooth, I just had to get this had to because of such superior quality:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/121476223222?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

That will complete my spaceship.  That company makes some damn good quality.

The only problem I had with the ADB switcher was, it kinda neuters devices, meaning the Turbo Mouse 5.0 can't operate with it's driver.  It neutralizes all "Keyboard" and "Mouse" devices to basically be generic "Keyboard" or generic "Mouse".  Which is understandable, because it can send them to a PC if I wanted to, and it is just a KB/Mouse switcher.  I tried ADB Manager but that won't work either.  But honestly I could careless because I can power down without having to unplugged my ADB every night, and the switching with F11 is SEAMLESS.  It's going to be really nice for my Quadra 800/840av setup.

The DVI/USB one is going to be amazing tho, I know that.  I have been using a USB printer switcher for my keyboard/mouse switching since, the KVIEW iogear died :( it's been rough for a while, but my RETRO Computing Days are going to shine! FINALLY!

I seriously doubt this.

if you remove the Mac Clip jr... the machine will return to its standard speed 33mhz.

the Actual speed of the cpu means nothing as its clocked by the main board... a 40mhz will just work

at 33mhz no problem... heck a 25mhz with a heatsink will run at 33mhz.

the gestalt will not change....  with the mac clip jr that might change the gestalt....

with out it ... will still be what ever its is stock.

I don't know I am thinking that the "Variety" of the '040 is a 40MHz classifies it to the A/UX installer as Machine Type = 33, and I get an error when trying to install.  I do have a Apple 8•24 installed, maybe that could be the problem, I don't I'll have to check!

Just got this in the mail, and threw it in my 800 for 1024x768x24bit@60Hz accelerated with RasterOps Drivers 3.3 which was cool to find on driver museum

http://www.ebay.com/itm/RasterOps-Video-Card-NUBUS-for-Vintage-Macs-Rare-Double-sided-card-1992-USA-/111908393241?hash=item1a0e429119:g:9tQAAOSwPc9WxR2v

RasterOps 24XLTV!  Doesn't have the breakout cable, if anyone has one for sale let me know!

Looks like this:

https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/77537546/RasterOps-24XLTV.jpg

But the video is crisp and smooth.  As a bonus it works with A/UX 3.1.1 also, but no acceleration tho, but still to have 24bit at 1024x768 is great!!

New recruits fully rescued...gotta bump up my sig numbers as soon as I overhaul them, the 800 is strictly a backup machine unless, the one I use dies.  I have to have my backup for my working machine.

G3/266: computer name = ratio

Got him after the auction ended, was local, so I called in a pickup for $100.  Good rev too.

He's going to be a perfect 8.6 Apple Telecom 3.1.3 Answering Machine, Fax Center, with AppleShare IP 6.3 with Tools as a "Bridge Server" for 10.6.8 to 7.6.1 and even A/UX.  For always on, low noise.

This is the 800 for storage.

Haven't got this yet, but I needed a 68k/PPC machine with WI-FI for the COUCH!

http://www.ebay.com/itm/222063139186?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

Got it for the Apple 40th Anniversary! Should be my last piece for a while.

Too bad it's only 30GB and only 802.11b

but it still boots 9.2.2 and will run 10.5 if needed when I can get around to getting a 60GB or 120GB SSD

I am just going to run 9.2.2 and 10.4.11 with classic mode, and native 9, hopefully, till that lasts...

if any one knows of a 802.11g option that would be cool...

Nice one, a pristine Titanium is a thing of beauty (not the knackered ones though with broken hinges and peeling paint).  You can pick up USB 802.11g adapters, I used an ASUS WL-167g in my Ti PB in mine as it came with PPC 10.4 drivers.  There are comparable USB adapters new on eBay, but you'd have to research the chipset to see if a generic PPC driver is available for it.
