How much for the IIx adapter (I have a couple IIx machines and some Daystars)?
Sorry, I've made a deal with Trash80toHP_Mini
Maybe you can get it from him when he's done with it.
I'd much rather, that happen, and when he clones it, benefit far more people.

THX much for that, jimjimx. Development thread: Mac II PowerCache Adapter - divining its unique secrets . . . maybe.

I sure hope so. I'd love to get my hands on a IIx adapter. I got a good deal on a regular II adapter, but I'd like to find a IIx at some point.
Do you think it'd be possible to make a universal 68030 adapter? One that doesn't require socketing into the FPU socket? Then it could be used on a very large array of Macs with socketed 030s (and even those without as you could always solder on a socket.)

Probably can't be done due to Slot ID conflicts (NuBus, PDS and PseudoSlot implementations all included) in the various 68030 Macs. From pics I've seen, even the dedicated SE/30 CPU socketed PowerCache Accelerator appears to require a machine specific active component adaptation (there's a PAL or GAL on its PCB for doing it) just like the PDS versions.
The II adapter plugs into CPU and PMMU sockets, is there an adapter that plugs into the FPU socket?

One PAL, one GAL and one as yet undetermined IC, all in eminently socketable DIP packaging:

Can you bend / fold / cut, the pins over to fit into a 20 pin plcc socket?
I mean…. It IS a 20 pin PLCC package…..
whatever your search is, look for a "20 pin PLCC Socket"
I really don't.
I'm just suggesting…….

No such thing as a stupid question. That's how to learn and you never know when you'll shake something loose in another noggin. I need 'em in several pin counts, but haven't decided which way to go: Google Pics

I agree.. But my ole HS electronics teacher isn't around any more…….
Maybe that's why" I" don't like an off switch.
And anytime I ask for Unix help…….
The first thing the teacher does, is boot into Microsoft…………...
"Um… That.s not Unix…….
Try debian, solaris, linux, or irix………...
One of the showers (Translated French) , asked "What's Irix?"
did ya see "toy story"…...
That was Irix!!!!
Dumbass said "no that was LinUx"….
