Ok guys as micron cards are either rarer than hens teeth or more expensive than the Cullinan diamond can you upgrade THE SE/30’s on board 64kb Video RAM, i.e could you replace it with say a 256kb or 512kb chip? I presume this 64kb chip is soldered on the motherboard somewhere, what chip is it? Or is it just a pipedream and really thetr isn’t a way to up the spec without such a micron card? I ask as im using mine for graphics which is perhaps hadly the perfect machine but fun nevertheless neal
So i've tried once to upgrade the video card for my G4 cube, which has 16mb VRAM from the factory. I have found that the few other cards for G4 tower computers that technically *will* fit in the Cubes short AGP slot, but do not fit well, they need things removed, don't fit flush (ie are recessed and monitor cable doesn't plug in well), etc. etc. The G4 cube supposedly had a factory 32MB options from two companies (source Low End Mac): ATI Radeon with 32 MB of VRAM Nvidia GeForce2 MX with 32 MB VRAM Had anyone seen these in the wild ever? Do both of them exist to peoples knowledge? Would love to find one someday, but starting to lose hope on the factory upgrade card.
Simple question. The LC 475 has 2 VRAM SIMM Sockets, so does it need both to be filled for its video to work or can it work with just one? All the other LCs only need one as they have one SIMM but the LC 475 has two.
