the 610 and 6100 aren't pizzaboxes in the traditional sense...this is.besides a paint job, you could build your own custom case if you were so inclined to do so -------------------- FireWire is fast General, 4 star beholder of the Quadra/Centris Stick of Justice™ Edited by - FireWire is fast on 18 Feb 2002 01:09:49 |

No, no, the IIsi isn't like a pizzabox at all. The LC 475 is the true pizzabox case, and the 610/6100 is sort of like the extra-large pizza box, per se.666th poster to the 68K Macintosh Liberation Army Forums Mod of the Mac II series Forums Total 68K Macs liberated: 7 Visit my site! |

'kay, i stand corrected, thought the mag's had given that moniker to the si back in the day.was reading up on the PDS in the si, other than bus speed and maybe a few clock or signal lines switched around, it's the same as the IIfx and SE/30's which suffer from similar switcharoos, has anybody ever heard of a successfull hack of the si NuBus adapter for use on the /30? I've got pinouts/signals/block diagrams for the SE/30 and IIfx, does anyone have a source for docs on the si? Apple's books after the 2nd edition of the family hdwr. guide looked like they'd been lobotomized, so i never bought 'em, is there paper or online source material for later macs? tia jt

The original pizzabox was the LC, which was released with the IIsi. The IIsi has a unique form factor, the slimline case.~Coxy - Leader, Tactical Operations Unit 68k Macintosh Liberation Army (now with forums!) 00013 Macs liberated. |
