I saw a powermac or a quadra pizzabox in those Bose Wave radio commercials. They are playing some jazz and the place looks real modern when they show it.Logan Quadra 950, Workgroup Server 9150, Performa 6400, Powerbook 2300c, 4x Quadra 700's, iBook |

You know...it is quite amazing how some machines, such as the Q605 and LC630 STILL look almost modern. Try saying that about a PC from that era though....HAR!™"**** em" - Jobs in regards to customers Warrior maclover5 68kMLA Official 68kMLA Detective Number of 68ks Liberated: 7 Number of Contraband (PPC) Liberated from the Dumpster: 1 |

Yeah, no kidding. IMHO, the 6400 is the neatest looking computer ever, and it's getting pretty old. |

The 8600 has to be the richest and most elegant of the desktop PPC models. Many 8600's, 9600 and Tower G3's are still in ue at Kinko's stores in Vancouver and I still enjoy going there just to use them from time to time. Not to mention the color laser printer there outputs awesome quality that turns Web Photos into really cool prints. I once printed Agent Smith's photo from the Matrix website and it came out like Photo Quality which was steller."Mr. Anderson, that's a fine laser printer you have. But I wonder, how many pixels can it output? Humans will never win as long as you have poor pixels. Surely you must understand this Mr. Anderson." ;-)

I've always liked the design of the 8/9600s, tall and sophisticated. The G3's look like stumpy lil' things compared to them (from what I've seen in photographs and such)Of course, most PowerPC desktops from the era have that special feel to them, an air of power and sensibility, I like that about my 7300 OH! Just BTW, I have a Kodak EasyShare now, where's the pizzabox? I think the 9500 doesnt look too bad either [even if some of the internal design sucks]The Tall, The Proud, The Powerfull: •950 •9500 •8/9600 I'd like to see all three together someday… and maybe throw in a mirror door G4, and a G5 - The Pinnacles If I open my window all the bugs will get in…That's just one more reason to use a Mac! The squat, the bold, the WaVy! Radius 81/110 *thinks: it looks REAL nice next that exact monitor I have sitting here too! * . . . it's a tossup between that and a 475/Portrait, 605/Portrait or IIci/Portrait. jt ™. Trash Hauler: call sign: eight-ball C.O. AC-130H SpecOps 68kMLAAF |
