What is the footprint of the Quadra 605 motherboard?

If you've seen my "friend for my 840av" post then you'll understand what I'm planning to do.

I am thinking of getting a Quadra 605 but need to know;

What is the footprint of the motherboard, or more importantly how small can I get this machine, I can minus the floppy drive & cd-rom drive & just use a hard drive only.

Can I use my 6100 dos card in the 605?

Does the 605 have in built ethernet?

I think I can give you a quick answer but will rely on others to confirm

The 605 has an LC slot that will take an ethernet card. There is no built-in ethernet port like the 840AV.

Can't use the DOS card in the 605 (or at least I've never heard of this happening)

the motherboard is roughly 18x23cm ... and with an ethernet card comes in to about 2.5cm heigh (well thats the measurements of my LCIII ... and the 605/475 board is the same size)

no, and no

AFAIK there is no way to use a DOS card in the 605 (unless you managed to find a LC-PDS one)

LC-PDS ethernet cards on the other hand are easily and cheaply available ... and most work out of the box with system 7.5+

Check out the old Rare NuBus Video Card? <rolleyes> thread, I think maybe I haven't located software to run it . . . or maybe I just haven't tried it out yet, but there's definitely a DOS Card that TattleTech can read the DeclROM info from in a 605/475 PDS.
