Happy Birthday to all the Quadra 605s in the world! Is pizza an appropriate food for a Q605 birthday? Maybe a fresh new PRAM battery would be a nice little present. G4From128k

How about a PRAM battery, a RAM upgrade, a complete cleanout and overhaul to make it look like new again, and a new floppy drive, to replace the dusty, most probably dead thing thats already in there? Now ya got me planning an aluminum 605 case for an apprenticeship project....I could cut most of it out on the laser, to within .01mm, and then mill out all the vent slots and stuff. The laser could also etch the port icons on the back, and the nameplate on the front. We have oval aluminum stock too, so I could make some perfect feets. I have the equipment available to make a nearly perfect replica, but...it would take months of cnc programming, and probably a year in the manufacturing phase. That, and I am sick of aluminum. I had to saw like 400 3.2m long aluminum things today. I think I am going to pull out the recently CPU, ethernet, and hard drive upgraded 605 and plug it in as a birthday present. Hmmmm, I wonder which monitor it wants to hang out with? 13 inch RGB, portrait or 17 inch multisync???
