Hi.I got a performa 5260 and this little thing won`t give me a higher resolution than 640x480. Are there drivers for the video card? I'm using OS 8 Also the network says that an other device in my lan has the same ip then i have and my network driver becomes switched off last i want to install more than 64 mb of ram, is this workin? PS.: does the 5260 really a res. till 1280x1024 thx |

It should do 800x600 (and maybe a max of 16", mine does 800 x 600), but you'd need to upgrade to at least a 6360 mobo to get up to a max of 1024 x 768, IIRC.jt  .

The Performa/Power Mac 5260 is locked into 640x480 resolution. The only way to get it higher is with a motherboard transplant. (6360 as Trash suggested, or 5500 would work nicely)Apple KBase Specs: Performa 5260 ------------------

That's interesting, my 5260 board has been transplanted into a 630 case and it does 800 x 600, but not 832 x 624! The 5200/75 was multires, but then everything was locked at 640 x 480 until the 5400! I wonder if the midrange roadapple AIOs had fixed frequency monitors, has anyone upgraded one of the locked resolution monitor models?http://www.info.apple.com/support/applespec.legacy/powermacintosh.html jt .
