Hi folks
I'm not sure if this is the correct forum, but I have this mysterious card that is in a Centris 610 I obtained. It is manufactured by Dove and was in the PDS slot. It uses a ribbon cable to get access to the back port and there we find a DB-25 port.
Any clues as to what it does? One suggestion in another forum is that it is a parallel port. It could also be a Fastnet SCSI.

Dove made accelerators and other cards for Macs. Most were for the original Mac, Mac 512 and Mac Plus. They didn't make any PPC accelerators (AFAIK), nor did they make any PC/DOS cards (AFAIK), and their SCSI cards only seem to be for non-SCSI Macs (like the original and 512). They did make a parallel card, so I would guess that's what's in your 610.

OK can I post one here or do I whack one up on my web space and point to it with a URL?

Will the picture actually help? Who would possibly have drivers? I checked macdrivermuseum.com but they dont have them yet.

Put one up on your free webspace and put the URL here. Or if you don't have any webspace, email it to me on partyanimal12452003 at yahoo dot com dot au and i'll put it up on mine.

As I recall, AppleFritter.com has a NuBus board scanning project, if you haven't been there, check their peripherals section and then post in their NuBus Board Scanning Project forum and/or the 68k section.

I saw one of these once (4 years ago). It is a parallel port card. Use Tattletech to see the ROM info on the PDS slot.

A parallel card? But there's no parallel devices for the Mac!
