If I can get my sysadmin to get his account topped up I can get the other one done, it's not like him to take this long.. :(

I might have to borow someone's CC to top it up manually :)

email is already able to go, POP and IMAP. Webmail will just take some fiddling. I will also be able to host pages at 68kmla.net/(tilde)username, once I get BIND DNS working. (Tilde key is borked on this imac). I am currently in ohio, until monday, but then I can fiddle and fix things and get them working. Email me at magicpenguin@torpedobird.com for account info.

yeah ... also .. it there anyway to have it so it would be "http://www.68kmla.net/default.asp" & "http://www.68kmla.net/active.asp" (for the active topics) instead of "active.asp.html" etc ??? ... i know this is sometime possible ...

The .org server will have something like that using CNAME in the DNS, which will translate anything from Literature Classics to any specified subdomain on 68kmla.org. For example a typical CNAME would be:

$origin = forums.68kmla.org data = literatureclassics.com

This would mean any requests made to forums.68kmla.org would be a direct mirror of literatureclassics.com , but as that being, it means you still have to add the extra /68kmla/ to the domain or else you would get the default lietrature classics homepage. Sadly the DNS system isn't as friendly when it comes to mapping things over the net. But we'll see if we can get it to work right.

This is good news, .net, .org and .tk are cool...

I'm looking into the .ca name.
