I'm sure those who are reading this will have visited the Mac SE support pages at one time or another at www.edprint.demon.co.uk

However, you might have noticed that it disappeared. Well now its back:

This isn't my site, but every compact mac fan should be aware of it. Brilliant resource of info!

Thanks. I wasn't aware of that site, but it seems full of useful information.

BTW, I have two working SEs, one with an 020 accelerator and 4MB RAM, running 6.0.8 (at one time my main machine), and another with 2MB RAM and a 20MB HD, running 6.0.4.

'Working' is too strong a word; 'functioning' is more like it. They don't do any work these days--it's all done by my blue G3, and soon, my TiBook. But if anyone wants to play Crystal Quest, or Dark Castle, the 6.0.4 SE is ready and waiting.

Even though I don't have an SE, the info about web browsers for monochrome macs (http://home.tiscali.dk/cadams/se/macweb.html) should help me get my old Outbound Notebook browsing the old WWW.

Thanks, JobF!

Any chance that 020 accel is a Dove model? I ask because I have 2 Dove Marathon 020 accelerators for the SE but no software and then don't do anything.

You'll need an Ethernet card for your SE. You can get one off Ebay. Then it depends on your modem. By far the best option (imo) is to get an modem/router with x number of Ethernet ports. Mine has 4, so I just plug all my computers into that. Then, depending on which system you are running you can either use DHCP so that the modem/router assigns your SE an IP address, or if running a Sys not capable of DHCP, you can manually set the IP address and configure the router/modem not to assign that IP address out to another machine.

If you have some other sort of modem (eg USB), then you'll have to connect your SE to that computer. The SE will then use the machine with the modem connected as a router.
