Well I'm working toward my goal of "most powerful 60000 Mac" ;) I've got a 2 GB external drive working on my SE FDHD. I plan to move it inside soon. I've got a SCSI DVD drive sitting around doing nothing. I'd bet I can get that reading stuff too, though I don't really like having much externally connected to it just because the portability of it is cool.

I doubt the DVD will work... I think you need OS 8 to get the Apple CD/DVD driver file to work. If you had an SE/30... maybe...

Well... I do have some hope, because I was able to get the DVD drive to work on my 6360 with 7.5.3. So there is some hope. ;)

well cool!

Did it read data DVD's?

There's no DVD decoder software for anything that old, but a couple gig of data for transfer would be cool...

IIRC, I put in a movie and it could read the contents of the dvd.

I have a cd-rom drive working on my se. I don't see why it wouldnt work. Of course I used an old disk for drivers that said Apple CD Setup.

DVD playback won't work on any 68k mac : )
I worked on your 6360 because it's a PPC, mucho faster and it can run the software the dvd needs.
