Have you ever heard of this marvellous new technology called "Ethernet"? It's this brand spanking new ultraspiffy network technology that works cross platform, and can be used on many types of computers, new and old! Maybe if you have a look at the back of your TiBook, you might be able to find an ethernet port! -------------------------- Give your dreams a chance.™ - Apple in the mid '90s Warrior maclover5 68k Macintosh Liberation Army Number of 68ks Liberated: 7 Number of Contraband (PPC) Liberated from the Dumpster: 1 |

The Wolfenstein link downloads Warcraft! Fix it!! :(I actually own Doom 1, Doom 2, Final Doom, Wolfenstein and Duke Nukem 3d, but they're all DOS versions. Since I don't have Windows anymore, I can't use them. By downloading these, I don't feel I'm pirating them, I feel more like I'm just trading in my old DOS version for a Mac version that I can use. Edit: LOL. NOW I know what all this Marathon talk is about! Ever since I switched, all I hear about is "Marathon This!" and "Marathon That!" Now I finally know what the hell Marathon is. ::::..:....:::.::.:..::.:....:....... Please! No more weasels! I'm full... Edited by - Jasoco on 19 Apr 2003 15:34:31 |

I'm not sure if anyone will know this, but I'll give it a try-When I was 12, I came across Marathon for my old Macintosh computer. I was enthralled, though it was a bit hard for me to understand back then. Almost 6 years later, that one game has stuck in my mind more than any, and although I have Windows now, I was recently able to beat Marathon thanks to the help of Aleph One(Too many unanswered questions in part 1, Gods... what an excellent game.). Since I have Marathon 2(Thanks to The Underdogs) for PC, I'm set for that. The problem is, Marathon Infinity. Aleph One never ported the whole game(read: Sound, Map files, etc.), and from what I'm understanding, you can use HFVExplorer to extract the Macintosh files from the Marathon Infinity cd. Here's the problem- since I don't HAVE the cd obviously, and have no way to get it, is it at all possible to use the Macintosh version for download at http://www.hot.ee/macgames/ to extract the files from? I'm not sure if Stuffit will unzip all the files, and I am not sure this will work... that is why I am asking here. Basically- Can I get all the necessary files to play Marathon Infinity from the downloadable version on this site? I am sorry if this is a bit out of the ordinary to put here, but I have been trying to beat his series since I was 12, and if I finally have the chance, well...

I must be like weird or pathetic or something…Ive had Marathon 2 since I was like 10… but I never had the commitment to acctually play through the levels but when I was about 13 I started playing the net levels against a teacher at school [he's had it since it came out], I almost beat him once [Ok, honeybunny ^_^] I really need to play all the way through… Maybe I'll get to it after I read this C book, and C++ book… If I open my window all the bugs will get in… That's just one more reason to use a Mac! Quick question for pracht, I recently tried to download a number of games from http://www.hot.ee/macgames/ on to my crappy Pc. Many of the download links seem to be broken ? Has anyone else attempted to download any of the games from pracht's site ? Maybe the problem is just my net connection ?

Windows NT with ntfs formatted drives wont corrupt your mac files like windows 9x/ME can.Anything thats compressed in *.sit form should be fine on any PC.

it seems that the games that are actually on the site download fine, but the ones that go to the "torpedobird" ftp are unreachable. is this gonna be fixed? |
