I just turned on FTP access to all the HL server's Files. Got bored one day so yeah it is now set up. Hope it works, post back if something goes wrong. Use L/P 68k/68k to access files.
Enjoy!

There is only one path and that is the path that you take, but you can take more than one path.

it *should* be 68k.torpedobird.com

*goes off and checks IP addy's and whatnot*

Yeppers thats it. It works locally for me, i was just seeing if the router handled it correctly.

It doesn't work. I've tried OmniWeb and command-line FTP, and I get nothing.

Ok, well everything checks out here, so *shrugs*. Only thing i can think of is trying just torpedobird.com, seeing if that helps any.

I can't get it to work either.

I'm using:

ftp://68k:68k@68k.torpedobird.com

It tries to browse files (you get the Torch looking for files in IE), but the operation times out...

Do we need to add a port number to the end of the URL????

Cheers

Steve/Jobf

see, you shouldn't need to add a port number, but if you do, use the default ftp one, cause thats what it is set to. (port # 21, fyi) GRRR this is frustrating me!

humm still does not work, the ftp access to my servers works hmm.... but then i'm not behind a router so that must be the problem.

IE keeps freezing no matter what I do to access your FTP site Penguin. Although I don't usually access FTP sites, so this might be a problem with my access.

My router was giving me troubles for a bit, see if you need to update your firmware.

Mine's a D-Link, 4-port, has worked more reliably from outside sources since I grabbed the new firmware for it.
